I started my running journey during the Covid pandemic. I’d played football most of my life but had been hampered by a foot injury that had got progressively worse. My day job required me to be very active, and I was struggling; I was 41, as heavy and unfit as I’d ever been and very unhappy.

I knew I needed to do something so sought professional advice for my foot, with the right help and advice I was able to recover. This was a huge turning point for me and the start of my running journey.
During the pandemic, I started slowly, walking every day and then came my first run… It was horrendous! Flashbacks to long distance at school and cross country came flooding back, however, I was already starting to feel better, I wasn’t stopping now!
I ran every other day consistently, and I started to see changes in just a couple of weeks. I ran a bit further and faster every time and stayed injury-free. I was making better choices with food and drink, and I’d started to lose some weight. Clothes I’d almost thrown out were given another chance, and they fit! It felt great.
I loved running and immersed myself in the sport and nutrition to enable me to be the best I could be. I joined my village running club (thanks to Sarah and Andy) and met many new people of all abilities. I entered the ballot for the London Marathon and won a place on my first attempt (sorry). Since then, I’ve run London again, the Yorkshire and New York marathons (representing the wonderful Sue Ryder charity), and recently signed up for Valencia in December 2024.
My journey showed me that with the right training, mental attitude and support, you can achieve great health (physical and mental) and fitness levels through running. I wanted to help people achieve their personal goals by running and turning this into a business.

If you choose to work with me, you will benefit from my 20+ years of coaching experience and most recent experience of run coaching in Kenya (The Home of Champions). Together, we will develop a bespoke plan that will enable you to enjoy the process and run further, faster, and safer than you have ever done before.
Whether you’re just starting out or a runner with more experience looking for guidance, I’d love to hear from you.
